Creative Poetry: Seraph and Angel

It seems I borrowed a lot of Greek imagery with my romantic poems back in the day. This is one very good example of this. Give it a read and tell me what you guys think.

Tale Share: The Etymology of Chivalry

This is an essay that won a national prize, so I am wondering exactly what the system of government in their country would be. My view do not match with those of the author of the following essay. In fact I disagree vehemently. Character should, and must not be attributed where it is not deserved. The only reason I am sharing this is because I have not seen so many sexist ideologies existing simultaneously in one article.

Musings: The Psychological Timeline of a Social Outcast

This was perhaps my first attempt at expressing myself through fictional characters - not in the form of fiction but as an expression of emotion felt very deeply. This in itself is a very important step, and I do not mind that it came off as very passive aggressive. What do you guys think?

Musings: Morals in Cynicism

Do I miss debating or what!? Still an angry person, clearly. It's been years since we fought over movies, but this is a good reminder of it. Perhaps more should be healthy for us. Read on for an entertaining time.

Tale Share: Spirituality, Halo or Hoax

The following is a speech by famous lyricist and script writer Javed Akhtar, about whom you can read here. He gave this speech at the India Today Conclave in 2005. To read the counter argument made by Sri Sri Ravishankar, click here. What strikes me most about these twin arguments, that in trying to be expansive in their critique (and subsequent defense) of spirituality, they restrict the definition of the concept in itself. Of course, one cannot possibly debate about spirituality if not put in any context.

I, an avowed atheist, needless to say, agree with Javed Akhtar's point of view. To read his speech, and form your own opinions on the matter, read on. Ps. Do leave your views in the comments.

Creative poetry: Look at You, Smiling

This one is all about being near your crush, and crushing secretly. There is something sweet and at the same time sad about this, especially reading it years later... Read on.

Creative Poetry: I'm Loving Angels Instead

We've all had crushes we've not acted upon. We all have felt that small tinge of pain and shame when we can't approach the object of our affection, of when we didn't receive the attention of one we desired. This poem attempts to touch upon those feelings.

Ps. It seems I have the flair for the dramatic. Does this make me a romantic - in the literary sense?

Musings: Lies

So there was a time back in the day, when I decided not to lie. Of course, I had to soon revise that statement to, I will not tell lies, which is, in itself an ocean of duplicity. A walk down memory lane shows me what I was thinking at the time. Read on.
